Privacy policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit remoteitconsulting.com or contact us, why we do it and what rights you have. We process data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (ZZPL).

2. Visiting the website

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data that the hosting provider records in server logs:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • requested page and referring URL
  • browser and operating system (user agent)

We use this data only to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors. Logs are kept only briefly and are not combined with other data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Contact form

When you send us a message through the contact form, we process the data you enter — your name, email address and message — together with the language version of the site you used.

The message is delivered to our mailbox by email (our email provider is Google). We use your data only to answer your inquiry and, if you wish, to prepare an offer. Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To protect the form against spam, your IP address is held in server memory for up to 10 minutes to limit the number of messages; it is not stored permanently.

We delete inquiries once they have been dealt with, unless they lead to a business relationship or we are legally required to keep them longer.

4. Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The website only stores two technically necessary settings, and only after you change them yourself:

  • NEXT_LOCALE — a cookie that remembers the language you chose, if it differs from your browser language. It is deleted when you close the browser.
  • theme — an entry in your browser's local storage that remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Because these settings are strictly necessary for a function you explicitly requested, no consent is required (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, § 25(2) TDDDG). That is why this website does not show a cookie banner.

5. Fonts, media and external links

Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server, so loading the website does not connect you to Google Fonts or any other third-party service.

Our website links to external sites, for example GitHub and the websites of our clients. Those sites only receive your data when you follow a link, and their own privacy policies apply.

6. Recipients and transfers outside the EU

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. Data is processed only by the service providers named above — Vercel (hosting) and Google (email) — who act on our behalf.

REMOTE-IT is based in Serbia, and Vercel also processes data in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the ZZPL you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
  • have your data erased (Art. 17)
  • restrict processing (Art. 18)
  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

To exercise these rights, write to the email address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Serbia, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs), or the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.

8. Security

The website is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

9. Changes

We update this policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always available on this page.
